DIY Solar
I install 3KW of solar panels on a DIY solar rack mount. These panels are used but still have plenty of life lift in them. First I use 4×4’s sunk in the ground to make the base of the rack. Next I use 2×6’s as the cross section atached to the 4×4’s. Once this is done I make brackets from all thread and aluminum bar. These connect unistrut channel to the 2×6’s. the solar panels have a spacing of 39″. To get the panels on the unistrut I use bolts washers and nuts. My system needs the panels in series. To do this I simply take the negative of the first panel and insert it into the positive of the next panel.
